Genting Mid-Autumn Festival Mooncake

Mention about Mid-Autumn, the kiddo me will think of Tanglungs in the past but now, I’ll think of Mooncake’s Packaging lolz!! I love collect Mooncake case/ box, same goes the mum that’s why!! I’ve no idea how was the celebration last year but mooncake is a must, mummy will drag me around choosing mooncakes for the relatives and pick one or two lanterns for little monster. I’d enjoy drinking chinese tea, I’m absolutely a tea lover since I don’t have sweet tooth and urge of playing lantern. =___________= #eldery

I remember Nanny had few for these before, everytime I see it, I feels like stuff in wet tissue papers #playful. Ahahahahaha!! So, guess you know what this for. Yup~ mooncake!! Didn’t realize Mid-Autumn Festival approaching soon. August already eh, time flies!! By the way, Mooncake Festival gonna falls on the 30th of September this 2012. Soon, you’ll see lotsa roadshows.

Please don’t be jealous because I got the chance to be seated nicely, tasting each flavor of mooncakes and treated like a VIP. Roadshows out there will slice the mooncake into small and super tiny pieces, seriously.. should be more generous like mine on my plate below! Ahahaha~ just kidding. =X

Are you ready for the Authentic Mooncakes by Resorts World Genting? View page here.

Our tour guide, Chloe did a very good job, very thoughtful of her because few of us were having nauseous after a bus ride all the way from Wisma Genting up to Genting. Been served with hot chinese tea and start off with something light instead of terus go for the heavy flavors.

Um~ if you ask between these, I think Kiwi one better personally prefer Kiwi if compared. No need to fret about the colors, they aren’t using coloring. Si Fu blended the ingredients using fruit for real, kay? Dried Kiwis and dried mango~ Still healthy no worries. Kids would definitely love these!!

White Butter Skin with Pandan Sweet Corn Paste Yolk – RM11.00+

The word Butter makes you thinks that the skin itself is already oily right? Actually it won’t, love the soft skin. The taste is good and love most when I saw the great big yolk in the mooncake. In case you wonder, the yolk actually mixed with custard powder if not mistaken, so you can see the contrast. Looks pretty isn’t it?? Si Fu himself proud saying he love the combination and colors!! =]

Healthy White Lotus paste with Spirulina Skin – Rm 11.50+

This has become my new favorite with the Spirulina Skin, I know, it sounds healthy. Hahahaha!! So far these mooncakes I’d tasted here do not taste too sweet, loving the sweetness. Some White Lotus paste meant to be sweet but this won’t, the sweetness is just fine. With the healthy skin, I think this must be the healthier mooncake ever. LOLZ!

I’d buy this for my parents if they are going to have a Mid-Autumn Festival party. XD

Me myself loving Snow Skin than traditional skin, now new loving Spirulina’s. I prefer light and non-greasy top layers but when comes to filling, I still prefer the traditional Jade Yolk type or lotus type than modern flavoured. Teeheee~ best with lotsa yolks, can can?? Or can I just nomm the yolks!!

Golden Jade with Single Yolk – RM11.00+

Durian Lotus Paste and Green Tea Lotus Paste – RM10.50+ each.

Durian lovers, here you go but this taste more like a durian dodol mooncake. Acceptable! Wonder if there are really durian, I mean real durian in the mooncake, woah~ should be awesome right? #imagine

I’m a green tea lover aiks! But I think this taste so so only, taste slightly weird or maybe just me because I’ve love green tea too much #demanding. Glad it’s not sweet or else gonna spoil the whole thing and it has lotsa Kua Zi!! I like mooncake with plain paste added with nuts, sunflower seed or almond slice make it texture a bit, taste better.

Sweet Corn Paste with Chestnut – RM11.50+ each

Interesting combinations, “Chinese” flavors!! They sounds like Chinese Tong Sui~ Boiled Ginseng with Red Dates, how nourishing!! Wondered it works for blood adequation and ruddy complexion like elderly said, teeheee!! I love the Ginseng smell, people who love ginseng would love it. Chestnut with sweetcorn, definitely a sweet mix.

Low Sugar White Lotus Paste – RM11.00+

The traditional white lotus paste comes with low sugar!! If you like mooncakes or keep craving for mooncakes, this would be good. Low sugar healthy, no fancy flavored. But if you asked, low sugar doesn’t means without sugar, don’t take too much. And don’t forget drink lotsa water and hot tea after having these.

Assorted Nuts ‘Ng Yan’ – RM11.00+

 Money God Cookies – RM4.40 [2pcs perpack]

So cute right?? It’s actually made of mooncake skin which mixed with a little bit of extra lotus paste so it won’t be totally tasteless. I think it’s a good idea thou by adding slightly sweetness and not wasting the extra paste.

Grab one if you’re heading to Casino, guess it brings luck too!! And you know what, only Genting get to have this Money God Cookies; you’ll find rabbits, fishes of piglets in the market.

Here, Genting will be having promotions, which means great deals starting this weekend. Stay tuned if you wanna grab mooncakes with a cheaper price.
